The I-15 North Corridor Design-Build project will be completed in four segments. Activities by segment are described and illustrated below:
Segment 1 - US 95/I-515 to Lake Mead Blvd
- Begin widening from six lanes to ten from U.S. 95 (Spaghetti Bowl) to Lake Mead
- Reconstruction of on- and off-ramps at D Street
- Reconstruction of the aging bridges at Bonanza Road, D Street and Washington Ave.
- New connection road linking D Street and F Street between I-15 and Bonanza Rd.
- Begin auxiliary lanes between interchanges from U.S. 95 to Craig Rd.
- Sound walls at the west side of the I-15 between U.S. 95 and Owens Avenue
- Sound walls on the east side of i-15 just south of the Lake Mead Blvd. interchange
- Lighting improvements
- Landscaping improvements
- Freeway Management System, including: dynamic message signs, ramp meters and closed circuit television cameras
- Pavement reconstruction and rehabilitation
Segment 2 - Lake Mead Blvd to Carey Ave
- Complete widening from six lanes to ten from U.S. 95 (Spaghetti Bowl) to Lake Mead
- Reconstruction of on-and off-ramps at Lake Mead Blvd.
- Begin widening of I-15 from four and five lanes to eight lanes from Lake Mead Blvd. to Craig Rd.
- Continue auxiliary lanes between interchanges from U.S. 95 to Craig Rd.
- Reconstruction of the Lake Mead Blvd. interchange
- Sound walls on the east side of I-15 just south of Carey overpass
- Lighting improvements
- Landscaping improvements
- Freeway Management System, including: dynamic message signs, ramp meters and closed circuit television cameras
- Pavement reconstruction and rehabilitation
Segment 3 - Carey Ave to Alexander Rd
- Reconstruction of on- and off-ramps at Cheyenne Ave.
- Continue auxiliary lanes between interchanges from U.S. 95 to Craig Rd.
- Continue widening from four lanes to eight lanes from Lake Mead Blvd. to Craig.
- Auxiliary lanes between interchanges from U.S. 95 to Craig Rd.
- Sound walls on the east side of I-15 both south and north of the Cheyenne Ave. interchange
- Lighting improvements
- Landscaping improvements
- Freeway Management System, including: dynamic message signs, ramp meters and closed circuit television cameras
- Pavement reconstruction and rehabilitation
Segment 4 - Alexander Rd to Craig Rd
- Reconstruction of on- and off-ramps at Craig Road
- Continue widening from four and five lanes to eight lanes from Lake Mead Blvd. to Craig Rd.
- Lighting improvements
- Landscaping improvements
- Freeway Management System, including: dynamic message signs, ramp meters and closed circuit television cameras
- Pavement reconstruction and rehabilitation
