As a resident and member of the community, it is very important that you be informed of the progress of the I-15 North Design-Build project as well as the improvements that will benefit the entire region.
Things that often concern those who live, attend places of worship, bring their children to school or local playgrounds, and visit loved ones in a construction area include noise, congestion and the appeal of the finished landscaping.
Noise
Noise may sometimes be a necessary inconvenience when it comes to construction projects. NDOT is doing all that is possible to keep disturbing noise to a minimum – especially near residential areas, areas around schools and places of worship.

Congestion
The I-15 North Design-Build project is in place largely to relieve congestion. However, the construction project will periodically include some closures and detours – and thus temporary congestion. The Closures & Detours section of this site will include updates as they are available.
Landscaping and Aesthetics
It will be necessary to remove some trees in the project area. All care and consideration for the look and function of the area before and after the project and value of the trees will be taken.
Planned Improvements
The enhancements to the I-15 North will include wider ramps, new sound barriers and new ramps and interchanges. The Planned Improvements and Construction Schedule and Phasing Plan sections of this website contain additional information.
Public Meetings
NDOT will hold a series of public meetings to keep residents, business owners, commuters and other affected groups regarding the I-15 North Design-Build project. The Public Meetings section of this website contains meeting information, including date, time and location.
